Paul S is infamous around these parts
As on all BMW's remove the clutch delay valve, and the weird clutch uptake is gone. fwiw, the M Roadster is lighter, and faster in mag tests than the Coupe.
As far as the M5 torque, a 3.91 LSD would help.

Hey Arling, just out of curiousity, what was it that turned you off about the RS4? With a baby 2 months away, I briefly considered it... and I noticed you didn't exactly warm up to it.

BTW, where did you go test drive the M Coupe... I wonder if baby seats are allowed on the front seat w/ airbags deactivatedd...

The RS4's problem is that it is heavy and the value of its 4 doors diminishes by the tiny legroom in back. But you can't really judge the value of a car by how fast it passes through A's garage. It's just that everything pales in comparison to a CGT. Yes the M Coupe and Convertible have an airbag deactivation button.

Yeah, that's why I don't have one... I don't want to be screwed like Arling... poor guy...

Are you supposed to even have a baby in a two-seater, even with the airbag deactivated?

i drove an smg m5 this afternoon.
the car is phenominal for it's size and weight.
gotta admit i would prefer a stick even in a car of this size but
might could live w/ smg if it's reliable.
used the stiffest suspension setting, the quickest shifting setting, and of course the power button.
would easily be smoother w/ a manual.
exhaust wasnt quite as loud as i thought it would be after seeing vids.
but the m5 is one heck of an amazing four door!!!

I would have to drive both the stick and SMG, but I think that on a sedan like that I would go with the SMG.
