I liked it. You have to learn it and if you modulate the throttle properly it will shift very smoothly. Most people interested in the characteristics of an automatic should stay way the hell away from SMG.

I have been thinking about getting the new M3 next year but I will admit if they stick the old style SMG in it I will pass.

DSG is miles ahead in fact you cannot compate the two. I think that point will get proven when the 08' 911's start showing up this fall.
