M3Tifosi is infamous around these parts
very nice car. AA turbo cars r fast and always at AA.

coming from a long time AA costumer w/more AA parts than id like to admit, NickG all the way . Technique Tuning kits own all other kits, u cant beat the tuning. AFR curves that match stock r NickGs speciality, for as close to stock driveability. and for some strange reason his kits cost less.

They do or atleast used to have quite a few problems back in the day. After everybody solved that OBD II mystery, seems like a bunch of great tuners came into play.

i used to, and still from time to time, go to AA for parts on a regular basis. recently ive been doing alot of work myself bc ive invested in tools and my garage. and everytime i went there i would see the same cars. some that were there all the time and some that were there from time to time. while i loved seeing the cars it worried me that i had seen them before and that they werent new clients. a couple were from florida, so maintence could be the reason (alot of maintence) but most were out of state cars. (i think 3 were new york cars) i was planning on purchasing a kit from them, when i had the money, but have since changed my mind and decided on a TechniqueTuning kit. i started doing alot of research and started to spend alot more time in the FI section on bimmerforums.com (great site w/lots of FI members), and found that NickG was hands down one of the best tuners and hands down one of the most reliable kits. not to mention that he was about $3K less expensive than active, $6800 for stage 1 at 340 rwhp on a stock motor and $7700 for stage 2 at 380-420 rwhp (depending on psi) w/only a head gasket, head studs, and larger fuel pump and injectors (included in the kit); as opposed to AA $8700 for stage 1 at 398 bhp and $10900 for stage 2 at 459 bhp (359 whp).

based on costumer testamonials and hard data i decided on TT stage 2 kit w/some upgrades like water/alcohol injections, race logic, and possible piston and rod upgrade. this build is still in its infant stages so i cant tell u how it drives and feels but many other member on bimmerforums w/this kit can.

another AA story that was passed on to me from an extremely reliable source but not sure if u can find it on forums. Dado, which is one of the most notable E36 M3 turbo owners also star of mischeif 3000, has/had an AA kit/build that was done by AA. his car was always having problems and blowing head gaskets left and right. turns out that AA had built him a M52 engine w/a wraped head, i believe, instead of an M3 motor. again this was a story told to me by a very reliable source that is friends w/Dado. i dont know Dado personally or even talk to him that much, hes very elusive on bimmerforums but frequents dtmpower.net alot.

this is what i have learned and its been my experience. just to let everyone konw i have no affiliactions w/either companies. i recommend both vendors as i have lots of parts from AA and find that build quality and performance out of these parts is great. ive had great experiences w/the people at AA, hell theyve taken me out to lunch of numerous occations while my cars has been getting worked on, and recommend Karl and Prestige as they r the ones i deal w/when im there. ive also dealt w/Rey Tong but he was let go from AA about 2 years ago, he was a good person aswell. hope this helps alittle.

IIRC u cant turn the boost off on any FI car, ur limited to the spring thats in the wastegate to regulate boost. so if u have a 7 psi spring then 7 psi is the lowest boost u can run.
