I'm surprised no one as gone through the importation process on this car yet here in the states. I know it is uber expensive, but still.

so you can have a CSL. and not one of those clones that are so popular in the states.

you can never match, no matter how much work you do to a normal M3, a CSL in terms of its handling and response.

There is a way to get a CSL into the US, although I'm not exactly going to be spouting my mouth of on how to exactly achieve that.

I'm sure you can import very cheaply if you are just going to run it at the track...wouldn't be too tough if you don't have to register and insure it

You can insure and register it as well my way. But I'm not giving specifics.

don't think so since they have the carbon fiber bumpers and unless you are switching VINs with a crashed out M3, then the government probably has a do-not-register on it...

Like I said, I'm not ready to say what my idea would be.

Because you can't even remotely get a car like a Skyline in the US...the M3 is really not that dissimilar from the CSL that you couldn't just cheaply re-produce one from a normal M3. Unless you want to have a big e-dick and say you have an actual CSL...otherwise its just bragging rights

but it still wont be a csl. i would import a csl without AC and without radio as a true bare bones track car. take a regular m3 and buy ONLY oem bmw csl stuff, and do it right, youre gonna spend more on that than you would to import a csl most likely. i would go for the latter to be honest. not about having a big e-dick, but rather having the real thing rather than a replica.
