Side by side, E90 seems to take little more time to get used to but I kinda like it. Also, new M3 look so much nicer when the car is moving. Try to notice that.

Did the CSL ever come in stick? If not, how BMW didn't make a manual tranny CSL is beyond me... what a waste.
As a sports car mainly used for the street (99.99% of us use our sports cars this way, I assume), self-shifting is the only way to go... imo.

wow the CSL is much better looking then the new one - thats a shame - i dont remember exactly how much faster a CSL is compared to an standard e46 but it wasnt much, yet here the CSL is barely slower then the new e92 m3... that SUCKS! is it really such a shame to want straight line speed as well as handling, why cant we have both?

you can have both, but it depends on how much straight line you want. my m3 is fast enough in a straight line for me and handles amazingly thanks to suspension work and about 100 lbs less weight.
or you can just get a 996TT, like you have for straight line and handling
