Question Boxster Owners: Will 18s fit? INSIDE?

a friend of mine might be flying me down to SoCal to pick-up his Boxster, he left it at a used car lot in Brea where he bought a Lotus.
(they didn't offer enuf on trade, so he left it there)

my friend also just won some wheels on ebay from someone over in Riverside and wants me to bring them home IN the Boxster.

Question: will they fit? Can you carry 4, 18" Wheels inside of a Boxster?

The front may accommodate two wheels, but I highly doubt it. That depends on the width, but again I doubt it....If it's just the wheels, you could probably make it fit on the passenger seat and on the floor...but why would you..possible damage...

Do they have Tires mounted? If yes, then I doubt they'll fit... if they don't, then you might be able to fit two in the front trunk, and two in the passenger seat area.

I would just ship them, I know you can not fit a rear tire in the front trunk and only 1 front tire will fit. You may be able to fit 2 in the passenger area.

Ship the wheels.

My 18 x9.5 carrera light weight with 265 toyos will just barely not fit in the front trunk with the spare removed. So AT best you could maybe get one wheel in the front, and two in the car with no tires... if the tops down.... I used to carry my hoosiers and track wheels to the track on a Harbor freight trailer, but thats probably not an option for you...

***UPDATE***

I should've added THIS in my original post.... NO Tires on the Wheels, it would be Just the Wheels.

Part of the reason I ask this is because I could've swore that I'd seen Boxsters at the track with 2 Wheels & Tires INside the car.

Ive put 18" wheels in my cayman...only one wheel will fit in the front trunk...and you can put 2 on the passenger seat. I have a rear trunk that accommodated the 4th wheel.. you dont have such a luxury..

1 wheel in the front (possibly 2 if you take the spare out and put the spare in the rear trunk), one on the passenger floor and 2 staked side-by-side or one on top of the other on the passenger seat. Or... 3 stacked vertically on the passenger seat with the top down. Put cardboard between the wheels and towels/blankets/packing bubbles/whatever is soft between the wheels and the car.

Remove the passenger seat... you will need a star T40 bit for this and make sure you reconnect the airbag sensor on the inboard lab belt connector... take it apart and put it in the rear trunk... then put three of the wheels where the passenger seat was and the other in the front trunk....

Umm, here's an idiodic idea.

Why not get tires mounted on the wheels, put the wheels ON the boxster, and ****can/sell the OEM wheels?
