i'm thinking of swapping my hyper silver wheels for our 996's black 5 spokes. thinking of trying a new look on my boxster. before i do, i was hoping some of you have pics to share of your silver boxster or cayman with black wheels?

Jody we need to paint you calipers if you do do that. Silver or red???

hmmm....tough choice. red would stand out really well. silver would look good, but do you think it would stand out much if i decided to keep the silver rims?

in your opionion, which wheels do you like better on my car? the silver ones? or todd's black ones? todd likes both wheels on his car and he doesn't have much of a preference, so if i wanted to switch, he would.

maybe for me...as a girlie...silver looks better? and the red calipers would look sharp! even if i keep the silver...i should def. paint them. they are all dull and ugly right now. =(

wow! i'm liking it! lol! the biggest difference i see between my black ones and yours is that mine have a 4" polished chrome lip on the rears and a 2" in the fronts.

plus....they look much easier to clean than my silver ones that i currently have on now!

if you go with the black one I would paint the calipers to match if you stay with the ones you have paint them red. Contrast is good!

 

okay....looks like i'll go red then. do i just remove the wheel and paint the caliper while it's still on? or do i have to remove it? i know...i know...stupid ?. lol! but, i've never seen it done before. =)
