From all that I have read it does not. Have considered adding a quaife unit for some time.

no, the Cayman does not have LSD

however, many have reported great success with the Quaife (Thorsen type LSD), and Guard's (true clutch type, LSD) should be available any time soon, an LSD is on my Cayman's wish list (just waiting for funds).. ha!

I have an Alfa Romeo Verde with a 3.0V6 with a ZF transaxle with a cluch type LSD and it's amazing, you can clearly feel when the LSD engages and it gives you a much better control on the wet.

I love my CS, and honestly can't understand the why a car like (expensive sport car) this does not have a factory LSD...

It blows me away also. I jump into my two decade old 'Sport Sedan' (E28 535is) and even it's got a 3.25 w/ factory 25% LSD!

Here are some pictures on my red Verde (the last 3 pics, on page 2), taken during an Alfa gathering (dyno day) organized by a local Magnaflow dealer:

I hope you can see them, otherwise I could forward the link to your mail address so you can post them.

Gilles:
Cool, I have seen a few of those modified over in Greece.
I like the lines of that car and the center exhaust.

LSD is definitely the way to go though.
