Stereo Code- where to find it?

I just bought a new battery... when I started up the car, the stereo now needs a code entered to work. I dont have any books that came with the car, (as the car is new to me). Is there a hidden place on the car that has the code?
Please dont tell me I have to go to the dealer and pay them $150 to punch in the code to get my stereo to work. Help!

Gary in BR is infamous around these parts
Raise your front hood.
There should be a sticker in the center with 4 hand written numbers on it.

Thats your radio code.

Hmmm... on the actual hood? I see lot of numbers on 2 decals. But not a consecutive 4 digit number.

Its under the hood on a decal. all of the ones I have seen where there. Do you see any handwritten numbers on either of the decals, I think its on the option code decal.

1. Should be a card that came in your owner's manual
2. Check you head unit user's manual. There will be a way to call up the code.
3. Call the stealer and give him your vin.
4. Renntech will no doubt have instructions.
