Ditto the above, I ordered mine from the factory rather than end up with one with the wrong options from the lot.

So I paid MSRP but got above book on the trade in.

For you... if you don't ask for a discount you won't get one.

Like I said, the salesperson is someone I've known for probably 20+ years, but not a close friend.

I'll see what happens. I'm gonna first just look to sell my 996.

Thanks for the help guys!!

I bought mine after I went to do some minor adjustments in my 2007 987, while I waited I asked the sales person to show me an S... He (very smart man), took me for a drive in the Pumpkster... I was sold on the spot... The alcantara... the power, the sound... I paid 2k under sticker... but the anhialated me on the trade in... I don't regret it... what a vehicle...!!!!!!!!!!!

The one I'm looking at has all the options I want. Heated Seats, Wind Deflector, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bose, Floormats, PCM 2 w/Nav, and Xenons.

Getting excited for the spring!

I would pull the trigger on the deal sooner rather than later and as the weather is getting warmer the dealer maybe less likely to sell a Cab at a discount. Hit him while its cold and the Cabs aren't moving fast.

If you really want to get rid of it quick take it to your local Carmax and at least get it appraised. you never know they may give you just what you want for it, and it may be well more than what a dealer would offer. I got 23k for my 2000 boxster S from carmax while the Porsche dealer wouldnt go above 19k.

Too bad the closest Carmax is in Ohio. That's 240 miles away one way. Not sure it will be worth the hassle. I'll see what the dealership offers on Monday. Thanks for the advice though.

Went in today to get my car appraised. I have to get rid of my 911 before picking up the Boxster so probably won't work out. Waiting to hear about numbers from my Porsche dealership tomorrow.

Ouch... appraisal came in $24k for my 2000 911 Cabriolet. Gonna make a run out to car max. Anybody interested in buying it? It's a great deal. 40k miles. I've listed the specs above before.
