isnt this the mod where you cut a hole in the muffler and connect the two together with a pipe to increase noise?

There my be a more detailed write up on the boards at ppbb.com. But kabe is essentially correct. It's just adding a couple pipes that bypass the muffler and dump straight out the tip.

It's very similar in concept to the Porsche Sport Exhaust, but it's simpler and a hell of a lot cheaper.

Some call it noise, and some call it exhaust note. Yes thats the mod I'm talking about. Who could do this mod for me? Take it to an exhaust shop? I know I dont know how to weld or bend pipe.

I did this mod a few years ago.

The video for it is at

The video is of a stock 2.5 with the pedro pipes.

I loved the sound over every other exhaust I have had on the car, the only reason I got rid of it was the ugly tips I put on it.

I am in the design phase of basically a pedro exhaust stage II.

I highly recomend this mod.

Go check out ppbb for the bet details on this.

Good luck

My mechanic and I did it, we changed things around a little, we went over the top instead of around the outside, and he changed my tips. We used the ones from my straight pipes.
He went with the pipes Pedro recommends I think 1.5 inch?
from my understanding most muffler shops can do this kind of work. It only took him a few hours.
