Exhaust for CS...Can't Decide.
The question would be...what are you looking for from the exhaust? The obvious answer is more power, but just how loud do you want it?? I just got the AWE Tuning cat back installed and it's everything I had hoped it would be. Not too loud, not a lot of drone but added 19 FWHP.
If you don't mind drone, my other choice was the REMUS system. Exhaust is very subjective, what sounds good to me may not sound so good to you.
There are lots of choices; Fabspeed, Borla, and many many more...
My two cents...

im also looking into exhausts for my CS. im not sure what i want to go with, but all of the cat backs seem to give about 15-20 NOTICEABLE hp, and headers add a little more, but ill prob stick to just a cat back.
ive been thinking maybe milltek as i dont want drone, and awe's DOES look amazing and sound equally as good.

that looks great! really, really top notch.
do you guys think theres any benefit to having two individual tips out of the mufflers vs two into one middle pipe?
honestly, i dont wanna go spending tons of money on mods. i spent 7K on the exhaust system for my e46 m3 (full supersprint race) and i dont wanna do it again, so im being very cognizant of what i do this time around.
i was thinking of picking up a milltek i saw on cayman club or possible the the agency power since its supposed to be good, but ive been thinking AWE might be a great choice as well.
any thoughts or advice?
i had gemballa on my 996 c4 and it was great, throaty down low and screamed up top, id like the same with the CS.

I got supersprint race exhaust on my CS, totally loved it! around 40% louder then stock, not annoying loud in the cabin. No drone either
for sound clip, looking under advantyper79 on youtube and you'll find several video of my car with the exhaust.
I haven't dyno the car with the exhaust, suppose to gain around 10+ i think. Even if it didn't gain much, for the sound it self is worth the upgrade
not to mentioned its around 16 pounds lighter then stock exhaust!
PorscheC4, I would stay away from Milltek, from what I have heard, its not that much louder then stock, if that is what you are looking for, the it might be the exhaust for you. But if you want something louder then stock, then I would not get a Milltek.

also, are you dropped on H&R springs or KW coilovers?
i had SS on my m3 and loved it. ive been thinking of getting the SS exhaust for the CS. will just the mufflers and tips bolt onto the existing other stuff or do i need the test pipes as well? most of the other seem to be cat backs while the SS is a piece meal exhaust where you can do mufflers, headers, test pipes in any combo.
Instead of a Capristo for $5k and 20 hp, on my CS, I’ve got a better cat back that looks good, has great sound, and puts out more power than your $7k exhaust sytem and it costs $10,000....it also comes with a turbo that puts out around 175 hp. Check out the TPC Racing turbo kit for the best mod I ever put on a car.

Another great option is the Agency Power stainless steel catback.
The price is $985.50 shipped to the lower 48 states! This exhaust is also in stock and ready to go.

The tips are additional $270.

The exhaust was designed by TPC to accommodate the additional plumbing so I don’t know if they would want to make it fit the existing pieces.
Here is a progress pic from another car without the silicon hoses and some other pieces.
