Is there a way to convert 02 headlights to current?

Hi all, first post here, hope its in the correct location! I have a 2002 Boxster S, and I absolutely hate the way my headlights look compared to newer porsches, I've done the HID conversion, tried two different kits, professionally installed, and both caused problems, from airbag lights, to flickering headlamps...now Im back to stock, however I hate the shape and size. I don't mind having to change the whole fenders, just to update the headlamp enclosures to something ANYTHING more current.. thanks in advance!

I guess I should mention, that the Litronic kit, is not what I am looking for, it cost 3100.oo without the bulbs and trim kit, bulbs are 275 each, and kits are around 50 bucks, and it still looks the exact same

Trading your car in for a lightly used 987 would probably be cheaper than changing out front fenders and bumpers and lights.

you can do it by changing out your fenders, headlights, hood, bumper, etc... There are also a few retrofit kits out there that allow you to change the fenders, headlights, bumper, and keep your stock hood (though this style with keeping the 996/986 hood does not look good in my opinion)... Better to do the full swap if you're gonna go for the 997 look... I believe Z-art also has a kit to change to the 987 front end, if you're looking to go that route..

New!!!! - Convert Your 986 Boxster or 996 Front-End to the New 997 GT3 StyleThe new 997 GT3 conversion for your 986 Boxster or 996 will bring the front end of your Porsche right up to date, with top quality parts that are made to bolt on right in place of you current front bumper, front fenders and hood...no modifications required!!!
This is the 1st and only conversion that uses the 997 style hood for an identical look.
*Uses Porsche factory 997 headlights and bumper lights.Item:Price:Description:997 GT3 Style Conversion$5995Includes GT3 front bumper, front fenders, and hood.GEM Sport Hood Upgrade
$795Includes GEM 997 sport hood instead of stock style.

Personally if were you, for that price I would either learn to live with it, or trade my car in for the newer body style you so desperately want

+1...and you get the upgraded motor and new interior. The interior is the only reason I went new instead of used back in 05.

The boxster s, is a project car for me, Ive done an engine swap to a 911, new ECU, pipes, rims, (recently ordered a wide body kit) I wouldnt want to trade it in for a cayman. I figured that you could just buy an existing headlight system and have someone do the body work and/or work the electrical system, however I know nothing about how the electrical system works. Ive just picked up a 2006 turbo, other than rims I didnt want to do anything to it, the boxster is paid off and that's why I've done so much work to it. Thanks for all the prompt replies though, its a very knowledge filled forum
