Just swapped a set of aftermarket 20" wheels (with tire pressure sensors) back to the OEM 19s (which dont have tire pressure sensors). The car is now showing a low pressure light on the dash. Can I reset the light? will it go off on its own? Should the oem wheels have tire pressure sensor locations?

The TPMS sensors are attached to the back of the valve stem. You need them to make the light go away.

 

so I have to remove the tires from the rims and then install the sensors sit on the inside of the valvestem?

 

anyone have a diagram of how the TPMS secures to the valvestem?

 

the right side tire pressures are reading 31 front and 36 rear on the right side of the car on the OBC.....weird

 

this is driving me absolutely bonkers! I have driven the car at least 40 miles for the TPC to "learn". I get the message that it can only be done when the car is at a standstill, so i just let it idle for the past 20 minutes. Still no change. WTF?!

 

can someone please help me out? Im trying to figure out how i can get two readings on the passenger side and "REQ." on the driver side.

 

got it figured out...lesson learned... note to self: tell the tire guy to swap the sensors
