I've got LOTS of other stuff more important going on... sorry. Believe me I want to go take some photos and get the car registered/smogged etc... Not enough time in the day for me.
I could take photos of it sitting in the shop... but I'm really wanting to take it out and take some decent photos. I cant even back up enough in the shop to get good photos. Plus there's so much stuff laying around blocking a good view of the car, it'd be a waste. I'm not going to say when I'll have time to take photos... but they'll be coming soon. Sorry to the guys who are pissed at me. I wish they could stop buy and lend me 10 hours or so, to get stuff done for me so I can go take some photos. ;o)
I'm sure everyone here has read the stories of how a car project took a year or so to build & get it on the road.
I've run into a few roadblocks when having to deal with other companies/guys to get stuff done for me & this car. When doing 100 different things to a car, I've had to deal with lots of different guys. And as we all know, there are lots of flakes out there... I'm dealing with that right now, and trying to get some carbon fiber work done for this car. Promised promises... but can't get the CF done well. ;o( (delays delays). When waiting 3-4 for weeks for someone to finish a job that should take 4 days, then they don't do it properly, it sets you back... and you get to go looking for someone again. Anyway...

Also have a yellow car that's getting done. Here's a few photos of it: (it'll have a slightly nicer interior than the pearl orange car).

I can't blame you for not having the time to take some pics. I couldn't find enough time to take pics of my car that I'm trying to sell (and I'm a pro photog!)
while i could go to the garage and take some crappy shots in two minutes, i want to take some good ones and I know how time consuming it can be (prepping the car, finding good location, waiting for a good light or setting up the lighting, etc).
Spending so much time on perfecting the car and then taking some bad pictures to showcase it would be a waste.
Looks like a gorgeous car, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait to see it in full glory. Can't wait!

That's EXACTLY what I'm thinking.... All the work we've done, and then to just take some "final" quick snapshots of the car would be such a waste to me. Not that the final photos that I take will be all that great. But I'd like them to look as nice as some of the "nicer photos" that have been taken by other guys, of their cars, on this site. ;o) Thanks for the understanding.

Autobahn,
We'll forgive you for the non professional pics. I'm sorry that you have had such a hard time with vendors. I know that these projects take time. The pics were just needed to continue piquing the interest of us faithful readers that have launched your thread to the stars by visiting it 26,302 times.

My advice, upon reviewing the pics, is to put the Yellow car in R for reverse. Back it out of the open garage door in the last pic. Then put the Orange car in R for reverse. There, I've saved you 10 hours of work. Now, go take some professional pics.

Dave

Thanks for the understanding of the venders. It can really be a royal pain dealing with guys who promise the moon. Especially when you just KNOW they'll flake on you. I can't put 100% of the blame on the venders though... as we've been so busy that it's difficult to find the time to to work on the car (which IS super labor intensive). We'll get it done though. Part of the problem/delay is the yellow car which is getting worked on, while the orange car is sitting/waiting for materials (or a part, or something else). I'm sure any guy who's built a full-on project car, knows what I'm talking about.
Thanks for your patience everybody. ;o) I believe my patience is wearing as thin as yours is, waiting for finished photos. ;o) The car is looking really good in person though... pretty darn happy with how it's turning out. I kinda have high expectations, and it exceeding them... so far.

A few photos of the seats for the yellow car, which should be finished (the seats) sometime this coming week. The center part of the seat is going to be dark tan (tobacco colored) perforated Ultrasuede (Alcantra). It's a nice contrast to the light tan leather.

hehe.... it's not finished. Just posting photos a I go (these are of the yellow cars interior). The colors look much better in person. I had dim lighting in the shop which throws the colors way off & gives a real grainy picture. The bottom of the dash will be the tan leather & we'll have to something different with that steering wheel. It's probably not done to everyone's taste, but I'm not aiming to please the masses. ;o) I have a unique taste & I'll be the 1st to admit it. I've found that people either love projects I've done, or hate them... most seem to like them allot though. It's fun to do something that most people have never seen before.

I agree... at least looking at the photos. In person it looks really good. The only thing I think I'll change a bit is something (not sure exactly what, yet) on the door handle/grab handle area. I think the top plastic piece that we painted yellow, is a bit much. If it was covered with perforated Ultrasuede, I think I'd look better.
