Anyone running iA Supercharger in their 986 2.5?

I'm curious if any Rennlisters have installed the ImagineAuto 2.5 supercharger.
There are good write ups in Excellence and European Car which have generally positive things to say about the kit.

I'm looking a little longer term with my Boxster and may want to eventually add some power. I actually had a leak down test done this week (recommended by Stephen Kaspar at iA) and it was only about 2%.

So,...anyone have good or bad comments?
TIA

JP has the IA kit, but I think he has an S.

Gary in BR has made some posts here. He used to have a SC kit, but swapped it out for a twin turbo setup. I'm pretty sure his car is a 2.5.

Be careful these motors are not design and overbuilt for that.

Agreed!!! The high compression ratio alone makes the Boxster a terrible platform for forced induction.

I am selling mine if interested. I did a 3.6 transplant after I wanted more NA power.

I will tell you when running right it was great power but I recommend having a GOOD tech nearby you in case you have some issues. I had mine installed while I was living in St.Louis and then moved to Seattle. I had a few issues with air leaks (dV valve, boost leaks) and never could trace them down. I feel that if I had been close to IA like I was in St.Louis I may still have the SC on. Unfortunately we will never know and it has cost a truckload to do this conversion. My biggest complaint is that I offered to fly Stephen or one of his techs up first class pay their hotel just to get it right. No answer on that, so make sure you have a good tech around that does not mind working with boosted cars.

Dave

Nope just going to a 3.6 with some other goodies on it. Net HP should be a bit more then the SC'r.
