Battery keeps draning

I have a 2000 boxster s that I keep at a vacation home and I dont have access to electrical for a trickle charger. I have found a battery disconnect that goes on the battery terminal, will this keep the radio codes, etc in place. Has anyone used this? thanks in advance

If you disconnect the battery, it will not save the radio code. For Winter storage without a trickle charger, you'll just have to input the code again each season. Is it possible to run an extension cord so you can use a trickle charger?

A trickle charger is the best option. No shut off switch will save the radio code and so on. I would recommend simply disconnecting your battery. I've see the cheap shut off switches go open circuit when driving and doing weird (bad) sh*t to cars.

I've definitely heard of some plug-in that saves the information. Not sure who makes it but I know it exists.

You're probably doing this already, but my Porsche tech said that if you lock the car, the battery drain drops significantly.
