I used to say that before I bought one, lol.

But I think it's because the 986 had more "roundness" to it that gave it more feminine qualities. Some of the sharper angles of the 987 like on the side vent added some masculine points that carry on to the Cayman.

 

Good points. I've always felt that my wife's Boxster is a "girl's car". It is a 986, and I feel a little self concious driving it. That being said, I've seen alot more males driving the 987.
