As an outside observer, the Boxter didn't get "fast" until the '10 dual-clutch Boxster S. Before that they were simply quick and fun. Quality was always there.

I bought it because it's a mid-engine roadster. The car just speaks to you. It's plenty fast for me.

And there's nothing like driving with the top down with a beautiful blonde in the passenger seat.

^^or getting to be a blonde that drives it! =)

Several reasons I choose a Boxster.

1). Handling...especially on those twisties! and of course....autox!
2). Plenty fast enough for me....granted a wee bit more HP and torque would be nice
3). Convertible
4). My hubby already has a 911, so I wanted something different =)
5). Love the way it looks

I chose a Boxster because I could afford it, and I always wanted a Porsche. The thrill is amazing and the build quality is second to none. I have had other sports cars, but there is nothing like a Porsche, any Porsche. They make all their cars special and fun to drive.

Yep, its definately a Porsche thing. Once you drive one, well seriously, other cars don't even rate second place. After my first test drive a year ago, I just knew this was it. I just had to wait and shop around until I found what I was looking for. Quality is pretty much a given, although there are definately some corners cut and a few design flaws. Speed was cool, but not a deciding factor. I think mostly it was about the timeless style. A 10 to 15 year old porsche looks as modern as a new car.

Porsche323's post pretty sums it up for 99% of porsche owners

I went in to buy a 911 but drove home in a Cayman and I have never looked back .I still like the 911's and all porsche's for that matter but the Cayman was a great fit for me .100% happy after 2 years + .
wouldnt mind if the top came down some days though and the new Blue Boxster looks fantastic . Just buy it you will not be dissipointed

Boxster is fast and a quality car too? That's a bonus! Babe magnet was reason enough for me.

Sincerely,

Macster.
