Car Wash

Hey Guys,

Living on campus I'm realizing I'm going to be unable to wash my car by hand. With theses sporadic Florida showers my boxster is in desperate need of a wash. I'm going to have to take it to a car wash. Any recomendations? One of my friends mentioned touchless but I'd really apprecate all of your input. More specifically does anyone know any good car washes in the Fort Lauderdale - Davie area? Thanks in advance for yor help.

The one on the corner of Davie and US 1 is ok, but not touchless. If you want someone to come to you and wash it call Tyler at nine five four three zero nine six one eight three.

He did a full blown detail on my boxster, removed all the swirls and made it look beautiful.

He and his brother spent about 4 hours on my car. I think it was about $300. The only thing they didn't do a great job on was the plastic window (they did good, but not great). They washed it twice, used three different types of cleaners, polishes and waxes with the machine to remove the swirls and did a bang up job on the interior.

Tell them Thomas sent you.

Way too expensive. Anything cheaper around?

I take mine to the do-it-yourself carwashes with the pressure washer.

You just bring your own supplies and do it yourself?

yes, they usually have soap, brushes and a powerwash wand. You can use your own microfiber cloths to was it instead of the brush. I put the wheel cleaner on and then use the pressure washer for the wheels.
Better than running it through a car wash. I have seen these all over the US, I would think FL has them too.

That price was for a full blown, all day detail, so the price is pretty good. I am not sure what they get for a simple wash or wash and wax, but it is worth a call. A good wax will help you with the weather. My car was not garaged and keeping it well waxed made it MUCH easier to keep clean.

Not sure where the automated do-it-yourself places are in Ft. Lauderdale.
