...its like asking, "when should i drive so i dont get rock chips on my car?"
i park anywhere including walmart and i've not gotten a single ding/dents/scratches. just watch out for which cars you are parking in between and avoid parking spots next to the shopping cart place. if it happens, it happens;

As for my "B", I take some precautions, and yes sometimes I get my exercise from walking the parking lot. I would rather be safe than sorry. The worst thing you can do, is park at an angle and take up two spots. That is just begging for some hater to detail your car with his key. As for the bars and pubs, It depends on how serious I am going to be about drinking. Our local police force in Urbana Oh are out for blood and reffered to as the Gestapo of ohio. so If I am on a mission and plan on being out late I take my suv. Of course i think thier are like two porsches in my small town.

Don't worry too much, just ask yourself is it worth the walk, to park it by itself, and how bad you'd feel if your baby got dinged,keyed, or vandalized.

I should have prefaced my statements with, I live in a rural area and parking is "not" at a premium. I guess it could be a pain in the **** if your in a bigger city and have few too many parking places. Some of the parking spots are packed like sardines and I know for sure if its windy, somebody will lose control of their door. Or they just don't care or as I said before, they despise the achievments of others of owning a beautiful car.

Other than that, I guess it comes down to your own comfort level. This isn't my first nice car (not implying its your first either) and I have always parked prudently. Again its your comfort level not mine, so if your comfortable parking your porsche next to anybody, well then I wish you luck cause it only takes one idiot to ruin your door and your day.

Yes Cayman, so yours is a daily car hehe...

Mp you are right, Here in Dallas,we don't have a lot of parking spaces, unless you park 1 mile away and people don't care so they can ruin your day .

I'll often try to park near nicer looking cars, but I generally won't go out of my way to park in the back of a parking lot or something like that. I went about 5 years in my last car with only minor damage from others and I think it was mostly from parking at airports (I travel quite a bit for work).
