no ,I bought it at 35k and now it as about 40k

trying to check and change the tranny oil , but a need a special tool for the plug . I'Il get it done on monday.
Somebody said I could be low on transmission oil . It does't show when I drive and shift in low speed but in higher speed the oil moves more and doesn't cover the gears.
any opinions ?

If you are getting grinding and the oil change does not help it, I would say that you are probably in need of a rebuild. New synchronizers will in all probability be the order of the day. Not sure what you would be looking at in terms of cost from an INDY there in Montreal, but these gearboxes will typically run about $3000 or so to rebuild. Could be less, but it is a pretty safe figure unless you for some reason have ring and pinion damage, which it pretty unlikely.

Sure sounds like a bad syncro to me. Rebuild likely necessary.

I just got the tranny oil changed today .(it was low)
I'll test it for a few days .
My mecanic said about the same as you guys.(bad syncro)

Any update on how it drives now?

no more noise . But I'll really put it to the test in my next Track day in 2 weeks . So like you guys suggested , the first thing to check is the level of the tranny oil and the 2th is to change that oil..
