is the "Sport Exhaust System" worth the money??
Our cars do need sound enhancement and I've pondered the same question. For what its worth I think its silly to have a button on the dash that you have to push when you want the car to sound better. Not to offend anyone but the poster wanted opinions so, to me it seems a little "poser-ish". Shouldn't the default be louder all the time with the button to make it softer when needed??? I'm saving up for a FVD system that adds performance with the improved sound for half the price and also keeps the PORSCHE sound. Just my two cents
You do make a good point of the button should be used when you want the exhaust softer. Maybe I can reverse the setup.
Hi,
When I ordered my 981, the sport exhaust wasn't an option. I love my car, but it sounds more like a Lexus than a Porsche. I have had it for over a year now, and I have been constantly looking for an aftermarket system that would work. Not too many for a new model, so I decided to go with the Fabspeed with sport headers and maxflow mufflers. Twice the cost the Porsche option is but there is added hp that makes it attractive. I am having the work done this coming week. Hoping for better noise, and more juice. I will let you know how it works.

I thought the Cayman S sounded really good with standard exhaust at WOT. But I am coming from a 2004 M3 that is very, very quiet. I have yet to hear the CS with the $2,800 exhaust option.
