Is there any power output change that accompanies the PSE, or is it just a "loud button"?

I'm saving up for a FVD system that adds performance with the improved sound for half the price and also keeps the PORSCHE sound. Just my two cents
No offense taken here. I do have the Sport exhaust and I love it. Downfall is my wife hates it when she's in the car with me so It's normally off when she's in the car. The advantage of having the PSE is your ability to have the sound loud or soft. in either mode the exhaust is lound when accelerating hard.

You do make a good point of the button should be used when you want the exhaust softer. Maybe I can reverse the setup.

Hi,
When I ordered my 981, the sport exhaust wasn't an option. I love my car, but it sounds more like a Lexus than a Porsche. I have had it for over a year now, and I have been constantly looking for an aftermarket system that would work. Not too many for a new model, so I decided to go with the Fabspeed with sport headers and maxflow mufflers. Twice the cost the Porsche option is but there is added hp that makes it attractive. I am having the work done this coming week. Hoping for better noise, and more juice. I will let you know how it works.

I thought the Cayman S sounded really good with standard exhaust at WOT. But I am coming from a 2004 M3 that is very, very quiet. I have yet to hear the CS with the $2,800 exhaust option.
