Cayman S Project with HRE P40s @ SharkWerks

This 2006 white Cayman S project came into us with the rather plain stock 18 inch wheels. To kick things off with on this project the owner opted for a set of light-weight 19 inch HRE P40 wheels.

The car arrives:

A close-up of the stockers before they come off (and will be retained for track use):

And off they come:

And on go the HRE's:

The end result of the more aggressive 19-inch HRE P40 wheels finished in stain charcoal and wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires:

More to come in the future....

I agree ... a nice suspension must be on the way.

Just wondering are the new wheels lighter then the stock 18"s?

They are lighter than stock although with the heavier 19 inch tires it's almost a wash... Suspension might be on the way sometime

It's likely and I agree you can't beat a P40. We've used them on every P-car now and it just plain works

Nice setup! I'm sure it' not going to be long before the owner comes back for suspension work.

BTW, what 2-post lift is that? Thinking of buying one.
