SRP Plenum, Fabspeed Exhaust, Great Dyno!

This car came to us from New Mexico completely stock wanting to get some more power and better driveability. The 2008 Porsche Cayman S is a Tiptronic that runs on 91octane. As soon as the car came here, we did a baseline on our Mustang Dyno. Our baseline run yielded 217rwhp and 197ft/lbs of torque. Our Stage 2 mods consisted of the Softronic Racing Plenum with ECU Flash and a complete Fabspeed Exhaust system with catless race headers. The plenum kit uses a larger throttlebody to improve the airflow coming into the engine. To fully take advantage of this, Softronic does a custom ECU tune to alter the fuel and timing maps to account for the additional air flow. Like all normally aspirated vehicles, a good balanced exhaust system definitely helps out as well. For this car, the customer went with the Fabspeed muffers and the Fabspeed catless headers. Softronic alters the limits on the O2 sensors to not throw a CEL from this catless setup. With all the new mods on, we did a follow up dyno. With all other variables kept consistant, the car made 252rwhp and 217ft/lbs of torque. That is a 35rwhp and 20ft/lbs of torque gain. Typically there is a 10-15% drivetrain loss on the Mustang dyno and since this is a Tiptronic and on 91octane, the results would be even great with a 6spd on 93octane. Overall dramatic driveability improvement and much better sound! Check out all the pictures here.

Very nice performance increase !
I have the exact same setup but with a different Catback Exhaust (Remus)
after Installing the Fabspeed Catless Headers my Cayman it feels like night and day,ITS FAST NOW!! Scott at Softronic upgraded my flash FOR FREE to a HIGH FLOW 4.1 flash and the car runs smoother all around .
One reason I went with the SRP was that is was a true GERMAN Porsche part .Says Porsche made in germany right on it
I have become a fabspeed believer .
The quality and performance is just second to none at any price

Good value

I purchased this upgrade instead of buying a new Cayman. The exhaust sounds great! The throttle response is much quicker and the car pulls much harder when I get the 2 gear downshift with Tip in auto mode when passing on the highway. This was a good value; thanks Dan and Vivid Racing!

What is the figures like with the softtronic by itself and the exhaust by itself?
The gains look nice, 35HP will definitely makes a difference in these cars!
Would you see better gains if it wasn't an agency power exhaust? Maybe something like capristo, tubi or borla?
