Smile My First CPO 2008 Cayman

Hello Everyone,

I have just found this Porsche forum after purchase a CPO 2008 base Cayman with 10K miles and with the help of 1.9% interest rate from Porsche finance. It is a sweet and fantastic machine. I was smiling during the 3 hours ride from the dealership home. I bought it at Pioneer Porsche in San Diego, CA.

By the way, when you bleed your brakes? Do you also have bleed something else while you are at it?

Thanks.

LT

Congrats. Bleed your brakes every 2 yrs with DOT4 fluid - I use Motul 600, but there are other options as well. If you use the car for street (i.e., no DE), you will be fine using DOT4 fluid you get from Pepboys/Advanced Auto Parts, etc. When you bleed your brakes, you can also bleed the clutch, which is located near the transmission. There is a bleeder valve tucked up out of the way on the left side, upper part of the transmission.

Congrats!

When bleeding the brakes, you can also get the Durametric software that cycles the ABS pump as your bleed. Start with the corner furthest from the resevoir (passenger side rear) and then select that brake with the computer and bleed when it tells you to. Repeat drivers side rear, passenger side front, drivers side front.
