Interesting topic for sure. I just bought a 2010 Silver Cayman base model with PDK. To be quite honest I couldn't quite stretch my budget up to 70k for the Carrera I wanted so I opted for the "starter Porsche"

After driving my Cayman for a couple of months I have to say I am quite pleased with my purchase. My dad has an '06 Carrera cab. We took both of them out for a good hard drive the other day. After he drove my Cayman for half hour or so he looked over at me and said.."this car handles better than my Carrera". I've driven his car many times and I really do agree about the handling being better on the Cayman.

I think the Cayman/Boxters are really a hidden gem as far as value is concerned.
