GT3 Cup lip on Cayman's?

I've seen quite a few pictures of Cayman's with the GT3 Cup lips... does anyone have any insight on this?

FYI: That is not really a GT3 Cup car front lip.

That lip is made specifically for the 987.2 Cayman's for Napleton Westmont Porsche in IL for their Interseries race cars.

The part is a Fiber Glass Reinforced Plastic, I bought one for my Cayman R last year.

You can contact Joey Buonsante or Eric Paitl at Napleton if you are interested in purchasing parts that they have on their race cars.

Will that fit a Spyder with the splitters removed?

From what I understand the front bumper on the Boxster Spyder is different from the 987.2 Cayman.

There is someone who used to post here under the username wilber987 (he has been banned) that has a Spyder, he has a modified 987.2 CaymanTechArt front spoiler/lip installed on his Spyder, so that leads me to believe that there are some subtle differences between the two.

Best way to find out more would be by contacting Napleton directly.

Good luck!

Would be awesome on a track-only car! On a street car, not so much.

For me, it would be great on a street or track car. Good look.

Bodymotion also has a front splitter for the track. Similar design to the 997 cup cars. CF or fiberglass. Very tempting, but I get enough scraps with my TechArt lip.

Look Great Tri Do it! =)

You can see it doens't have the two contoured bends that is on the GT3 lip. The cayman lip is stright across on the top.

Looks great though, Street or track - I like mine color matched!
