Buying a Cayman

Hello everyone!

I'm thinking about buying a certified used Cayman with around 30-50,000 miles. I've found several cars priced around the mid 30s. I have $25,000 to spend from selling my Subaru. Also, I just bought my fiance a new 911. My plan is to finance the Cayman. Would this be a good idea considering interest rates and other fees? I feel like I should just buy it outright, but monthly payments don't bother me. I honestly don't know what to do and my fiance is useless because she is obsessed with the 911.

Just finance it, penfed.org traditionally has the best rate. And why is your fiance driving a 911 and you driving the Cayman? Should be the other way around no? Since you are paying for it.

Thanks for the advice. I actually prefer the Cayman over the 911.

You are a wise man, GT cars notwithstanding.

My advice is to get an '09+ Cayman S and finance whatever the difference. Especially if you intend to track (why wouldn't you??).

I had a 07 911 Turbo and I now have a 12 Cayman S Black Edition .. both cars are amazing - I switched cars due to where I live (boston metro now) - I totally love driving the Cayman - feels exactly the way a sports car should be!
