Found it. . . bought it!! Thoughts?!

I've been looking everywhere for a CR. Found a white Cayman R with sport seats, Nav, Bose, Sport Chrono Pkg, interior design pkg, quite loaded. . manual transmission!

I'm thinking of doing a couple upgrades to it.

IPD Plenum for the CR and Sports Exhaust for the CR. What are your thoughts? Pro's versus Con's, etc??!

one of the best bang for the buck mods is a drivers education. usually a 2 day event can let you and the car bond on a track.then you can see what is needed. imho if i could have only one mod it would be tires

Agreed, if you're not already an intermediate+ driver on the track, spend the bucks and time on learning to drive the car well, and only then think about mods.

That said, if you'll be tracking it, I'd do a little realignment - especially more front neg camber - and definitely get track brake pads (I like PF08 front and PF06 rear).

I have plenty of track time. So, considering putting on a TUBI exhaust or PSE in addition to the IPD Plenum & throttle body. Thoughts?

IMO (for what it's worth) the PSE is FANTASTIC if you're driving the car on the street and also want to track it.

If you bought this car to track it only, I'd consider a full exhaust other than a PSE.

I am installing an IPD Plenum and Throttle Body as well to give her a little more GO! Anyone have much experience with that on the Gen II Cayman's? What type of increase in performance has it been giving?

Heck no on the PSE. Adding it in is really costly and the only thing it will give you is some added weight. Go aftermarket.

I've already had a TUBI exhaust on my 07 Cayman S. Honestly, a bit tired of the DRONE!! So, any thoughts on the IPD Plenum & throttle body on the Gen II's?
