Error messages already??

So I'm driving tonight and had this error message come on about 4 times. Gonna stop at the dealership tomorrow, hoping it's just a software update or calibration or something

Anyone else see this yet?

Not that I used the parking brake very often, but I haven't seen it either.

Took to dealer this morning. Since it's apparently intermittent, they just cleared the codes and we'll see if it comes back on.

We'll see..

Well if it's going to happen, it'll happen to me.

They cleared the code today and tonight the light came back on.

Guess I'll have to just leave it at the dealership.

Crap.

I'm sure it's something stupid... I'll take the car in Monday and see what they can come up with.

Good news and bad news...

The good news is my light hasn't come on in 2 days.

The bad news is I'm an idiot. I didn't see the problem until I wired my radar detector to the fuse panel. I chose power from a fuse like the passenger heat seater figuring it wouldn't be used much.

When I took it to the dealership, they moved the power supply to a different unused fuse.

It still didn't make a difference, I was still getting the error light.

I unplugged the radar detector for the last 2 days and haven't seen the light. I know Porsches are sensitive to voltage loads/spikes, etc, etc but damn....

Anyway, no radar detector no lights.

I'll find somewhere else to plug it in.

My wife says "heat seater" all the time, she will get a kick out of your post.

Now I am going to check where I wired my V1 too. Which panel did you go into? I went into the drivers side and just test lighted an ignitioned open spot, but then again I havent driven the car with it wired up yet.

I went to the passenger side panel and tried several spots. Yesterday I was at the dealership returning a part and there was an older boxster there with an escort wired in. We pulled the cover and he was on the driver's side.

For now I'm using the cord. I'm going to order the mirror assy with the 9500ci from this place.

Built in is a nice route, where will you mount the unit itself, next to the mirror?
