socalboxster is infamous around these parts
Boxster Top - Cloth or Vinyl?

Can someone please tell me if the soft top on a 2008 Boxster S cloth or vinyl? I cant tell, and I bought raggtop for vinyl and now I am not so sure if the product is correct..

exchange your raggtop vinyl for cloth. your car has cloth top.

BTW, is your name spelled Chris or Cris? It's spelled differently on different sites.

Nope. 02 Boxster with original soft top though I had to replace the window once -- cracked in cold weather.

All I do is keep the top clean (mainly free of bird mess) using plain old rinse water from the nearby DIY car wash wand followed by a good rinse with the no spot setting (soft water I guess).

Then take the car for a drive to dry the top and the brakes.

Sorry for the late reply.

Recently I've been using RaggTop. They make both a cleaner and a protectant. Protectant does seem to work since water beads much more after application.

RaggTopp is the only thing that goes on my tops.

303 Aerospace protectant makes a good product for cloth tops as well,I used it and it does an amazing job repelling water and will help to keep the top clean.
