Check with a local leasing company to see if they can get a lower price for the car and a lower payment for you.

I just bought mine for $903 with 0 down, but the lease was actually higher, almost $1100 I think.

take over an existing lease

I often take over existing leases. This means i have a shorter lease and i get a new car more often. Also, the $$ is soooooo much better. Usually instead of putting 5k down, the current leasee will give me an incentive $1-5000 to take it from them. Its fabulous.

Check out leasetrader.com or my favorite (no cost) swapalease.com. Search and start negotiating.

I've taken about 6 cars over in the past 5 years for my wife and I.

Good Luck,

TJ

geetee,

When turning a car back in upon expiration of the lease, any damage is responsibility of current leasee. If the previous leasee did damage, the new leasee would want to make sure its fixed or is properly compensated upon taking over the new lease.

Also, ive turned in a few and it seems the level of damage allowed by the car company is different between companies. As regards BMW the damage needs to be bigger than a credit card to be considered a payable item. They rarely look inside, but im sure if there was a big rip in a seat or something they would ding you.

My dealer is offering $527 per month, $5,000 down, 5,000 miles per year for 24 months or $847 per month, zero down plus first months payment on the dealer, 5,000 per year for 24 months. Sound like a much better deal to me.

According to their website, the lease above is based on a $54,885.00 car and the $547/month deal requires $6995 drive off costs while the $847 is sign and drive with zero drive off cost.
