Jonhunt is infamous around these parts
Street tires for Boxster

A friend of mine has a Boxster and needs tires. Even though he is not interested in high performance and will never track the car or run a high speed are the Michelin Pilot Sports 2 still his best choice? I

Hankook Ventus V12's are the best bang for the buck in this case, had/have them on

2011 Jaguar XJL Supercharged
2005 Boxster
2002 996TT

Very happy with them for daily driving (not good enough to track) and SUPER reasonably priced. Quiet, good ride, Hold better on my 500HP jag than the Conti Sport Contacts it came with

Michelin super sports are better and cheaper than ps2 but not N rated.

So to address OP's question Michelin allseason 3's, Contenental DSW best allaround tires & cheaper than Max performance tires.

It depends on how and where you are located and what your budget is. The Tire Rack or Discount Tire can provide useful advice.
