Newbie question

Hello all,

I am finally able to make my dream of getting a Porsche a reality. I have decided to get a cayman. I have a question about buying a non s version.

I have decided to get an S version but i have been having trouble finding a good car in my price range 07 or newer less then 70k miles for under 30k I mean out the door 30k.

what do you guys think about getting an s vs a non s caymen?

Thanks in advance for the advice

IMO you should seek the car you really want. If that's the Cayman S, then stick with it.

I'm based in Canada and have far fewer cars to choose from, so I use various sites, i.e. autotrader to find cars in the US. Checking just now, there are some candidates that meet your criteria if you are willing to drive a bit, or even fly.

Could be a great road trip.

IMHO, It will be harder to find a 07+ Cayman S out of the door for $30 with less than 70k miles. but if you haven't tried, also search on Porshe's own website.

Thanks

for the record i was close to pulling the trigger on this one

few issues on this car,

one it has been in an accident.

also it comes to 33k with tax and shipped and that was with him taking half of shipping. They seem nice but not really really to help me out.

while on the topic, not sure what happen, all of sudden there are like 14 cars on cars.com all coming lots of them between 23-28k, not many "S" models but a few 2008's

I am trying to make a good choice when i remove the s badge requirement there are a lot of options, anybody think "S" badge is a must?

Thanks guys

Smile pulled the trigger

I ended up where i started, got them to trim the price a bit. I got this one, pending a passing grade at the local Porsche dealership, we will be a couple she seems like a nice lady

Nice job! I've had a base and then the S Boxster. As they say, always get the one you want or you'll always wish you had the "other" one.

Enjoy dude!!
