Problem with USB to PCM with 2014 Boxster

I have a problem in trying to connect an external portable Toshiba Hard Disc Drive via USB (full of my music collection) to the PCM. It will not recognise the USB - it does not appear.
The bluetooth works ok with music from my phone and the radio is fine.

Can anyone help ?

Check the manual....I am not sure that solid state drives will work with PCM USB. I use a 64MB micro-SD card without any problem. I believe that the system will work with up to 128MB SD cards.

I would check with the dealer, they should have a more definitive answer.

Thank you for your reply.
After many phone calls and mails and web searches - it seems that the hard drive (500GB) is too large to work with the P C M, so I have now given up that idea. Apparently it can work on smaller usb drives only.
I have a particularly large music collection and wanted to have it all i one place with a means of scrolling through the library

same issue here at first

i use mediamonkey to manage a large collection as well and have resorted to using 4 or 8gb usb drives to load up the jukebox. if i find a way around this limitation i will post on here any mods that work. cheers
