Recently 6speedonline.com has had a number of businesses soliciting their products and services in threads and posts. Some are blatant and some are more creative to not appear directly as spam. Since 6speedonline.com is the most popular modern day Porsche forum on the net this is going to happen occasionally.

6speedonline.com would not exist except for paying Sponsors and a handful supporting members. It is unfair that they are paying for non-Sponsor sales and soliciting efforts, almost always offering competing products with 6speedonline.com Sponsors. Let’s be clear, if you are not a Sponsor, the rules and regulations of 6speedonline.com prohibit commercial posts to the Forums.

Furthermore companies are registering member names that suggest the nature of your business is in hopes to get a forum member to notice your business and/or contact you. For example if your company is “The Speed Shop” and you are not a forum sponsor, registering Bill@TheSpeedShop is prohibited.

In conclusion if you would like to become a Sponsor please send a PM (private message) to me via the forum and provide me with a valid email account to send you our sponsorship contract.

Until you become a paid Sponsor your "solicitations" and creative “usernames” will be either edited or deleted.

Well the car came in, I was excited to post pictures, then I read their message. So I didnt post pictures (on this forum) and just made comments regarding their message.

 

Brain is the mocking really necessary if you aren't doing anything wrong?

Post some cayman pics if you got one to share with the members, that would be more constructive.

we talked & u probably know or heard my style. i say what i want to say all the time because that's me. i hope u don't take it personally because my post was not toward u personally.

u could simply post pics as u know we all would love to see it but rather a sour post. the car is not for sale now & u're not a sales. yes we're all car lovers but seems like u wanted the thread to go another direction. again it might just be my stupid feeling is doing the trick.

Posting a picture from a dealership is not solicitng anything. It could be any member stopping into a random dealership and sharing with his/ her fellow 6speeders.

On a related note, I think its lame that dealers are getting their caymans today, yet porsche didn't even have one at the SF Auto Show. They didnt even bring a C4S or C4. Disappointing.

 

SF autoshow at Carlsen - free admission! Brian, can I get a test drive?? Ha ha...

 

PCNA won't let anyone drive it, our GM drove it from the truck to the shop for pdi. then to detail, then straight to showroom. Porsche has provided a black cloth cover and wants to keep it under covers and only displayed when requested...
