Shy of a trip to the dealer, any ideas why my 2016 Cayman S nav shows me driving around in a suburb of Iowa? Last I looked I'm in Charlotte NC

 

What happens if you program your real home address and tell it to calculate a route?

 

Can't resist. Maybe you are in Iowa. If you're driving a 2016 Cayman S you entered the "Field of Dreams" which if I recall, is in Iowa. Best wishes!

This happened once to my wife in her Audi S3. We wanted to input a destination and Nav kept thinking we were in Los Angeles when we were actually in Massachusetts. Must be some sort of satellite transmission glitch.

 

LOL that is funny....

 

To update....The dealer pressed a couple buttons at once and it's been fine since....Our nav units must be made by Apple LOL

 

Well.....My nav unit is acting up again suddenly just last night. I guess this means a trip to the dealer for a complete software reinstall. I've never experienced this in all the nav units I've had Porsche cars or otherwise....Can't imagine what the hell is wrong.
