Cams, Headers, and Cats for a Boxster S?
Cams, Headers, and Cats for a Boxster S?
Has anyone out there upgraded their Boxster S with the FVD cams, headers, 100 cell cats, and programming? I've been looking to do something for some time with the Boxster S and it is boiling down to this:
1. IA can't seem to publish pricing for a SC upgrade. Besides, I'm still not sold on the idea of forced induction in a motor with such high compression. (Stephen, with your rep, I'm sure you will make it work. No hate mail, please.)
2. The 3600 upgrade will cost more than the car is worth. Doesn't seem like a financially sound decision. (But, do any of these mods?)
3. Looked at the Bi-turbo option from TTP. Not sure that I like the way they chew up the rear deck for intercooling. And, without reducing the compression, I'm not going to bolt on any forced induction.
4. FVD seems to be the only folks with the whole suite of products for the Boxster. Normally aspirated seems to be a good thing. Cams, headers, cats, and programming. Waiting for pricing and a dyno sheet.
Just wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with them.

Hi Dave,
It is an engine swap to the early 996 3.4L... If you are interested in it, shoot me an email at evan@fvd.us and I can send you a quote with everything necessary to do it.
