Ok i know this question is going to be very bais but still want to ask.

Driver's discreption : Women, early 40's, know how to drive a manual and prefer driving sports car with high power. Quite aggressive and like to speed. Currently driving a ///M

Cars : Boxster S or SLK 55 AMG

The first and most important thing for her is power. Will also concider the handling, braking, styling, everyday comfort, features and also if the back window is glass or not as well. Lady doesn't mind driving a Auto, but is quite good at driving a manual.

Never driven a Boxster S/SLK 55 or sat in one in her life. Please would love for any of you out there that had driven both and provide some input thanks! Remember this is a female driver, not a male.

 

if it's power she's after, the Slk is the ticket.

 

slk for power + amenity. boxster for looks, price and fun factor.

bottom line, let her drive both and make the decision. if this is a surprise, still ask her to drive both and get her impressions.

 

slk is faster and looks better...boxster handles better and brakes better. Merc is more user friendly and has nicer interior...I would pick the merc...

 

SLK55 in a heartbeat, its got more power + the hardtop convertible is unbeatable. The new gen SLKs actually handle really well, I suggest you take it for a test drive to check that yourself. Its not near the Boxsters level but then few cars really are.

Besides the boxster is quite ugly.....

 

How come the Boxster S would brake better if the SLK 55 offers 6 pistion calipers in the front while still retain the 4 in the rear?

Humm seems like everyone is leaning towards the SLK55. But have anyone here driven both?

ahh hell I'll go against the grain.

Tell her to get the Porsche because all of the other chicks drive mercs.

Besides, there is a higher chance of being shot by the Royal SAS sniper team in the SLK55 anyway (anyone else catch that Top Gear Boxster S vs. SLK55 comparison episode??)

 

Good one. SLK though if she likes big power she may well be dissapointed moving from an M to a Boxster.

 

What about the new M roadster?

 

She said she have no interest in driving BMW again as she has driven it for a good few years already and want to move to something else.

Humm seems like there is a mix review here. I will have to tell her to drive both to see for herself. I don't know how this lady thinks. I will let her make her own decision.
