Windshield Replacement Recommendation - Greater Toronto Area

Any recommendations for a experience shop in replacing a 987.2 windshield in the GTA? I have a long horizontal crack from left to right at the bottom half of the windshield. Thanks.

Just had the glass replaced in a panamera; just make sure it is OEM.

Years ago had something similar happen to my Boxster's windshield. Long story short I suspected dealers didn't do their own glass but relied on a auto glass shop for this. Called around and finally one dealer service department told me which business it used. Safelite. I called up and arranged to have the glass replaced in my Boxster. The Safelite tech would do the job at my place work place. I believe I asked about OE glass vs. OEM glass and at the time there no OEM glass available just OE glass, which was good.

Day before I washed the car.

The guy came and we looked over the replacement windshield and it was identical to the one in the car. Same rear view mirror location, tint along the top, radio antenna connectors, everything the same.

The tech then removed the old glass and installed the new glass and cautioned me to avoid subjecting the car to any real stress/flexing for at least 24 hours. While I had to drive the car 30 miles from the office to home I managed to do so without flexing the car. In hind sight I probably should have arranged to have this done at my house so I could just leave the car parked for 24 hours after the glass was replaced. But being my house was 30 miles -- or more distant -- from the Safelite branch from which the tech with the Porsche experienced worked -- I wanted him to replace the glass I decided to have this done at the office, which was just a couple of miles away from the Safelite branch.
