Bench racing 101. Power of the new GT3 in a light weight Cayman with coilovers....Close to CGT time at the ring??? Now remember the 997GT3 is not that far from the CGT time. Flame on!
I think it'd be very fast. Mid-engine is so good because you can suspend and tune setups perfectly without having to deal with the engine support issue aft of the axle. It's only a matter of time before someone makes an insanely fast Cayman. All of the nutjobs that create sickly fast TT's had to start with a platform that costs 2.5x of a Cayman to begin with. Think about what they can do now starting off so cheaply. Swap in a built motor, reinforce mounts, tranny and chassis, suspend well, tune aerodynamics, get the right tire setup...it's going to be eye-opening what comes out of it. No flame from this guy.
