It was fun till I got beat by a late model 6 cyliner mustang on the highway. Not so much fun after that....

All kidding aside, the boxsters are cool. I wouldn't buy one for myself, but I can see the appeal as a sports car. They are just a little on the "fem" side in appearance when compared to cars like the "M" roadster and such. I'd be more of a fan if they all looked like the RUF boxsters. I'm more of a function over form kind of a guy, unlike my my friend luis would drive a pinto if it had 400 HP and handled like a stradale

I find the carrera way more fun to drive than the boxster, but then again I don't track my cars and that's where the boxster would probably shine. As far as curb appear, no contest....

As far as being beat by a late model 6cy Mustang you must of had a 2.5...Did you ever try a 3.2 Boxster S?

 

hell NO No 911 for me.. I am looking at a C6 ZO6 or ???? After I get it back from Imagine with the SC I may never get rid of it... I just like th ZO6 so much!

 

yeah, it was an 01 non-s, so whatever that had in it. it was like 215 HP with no bottom end. yawn....

never tried the S model. went straight to the 3.6

i'm sure the S is a lot peppier than the non-s though. it would ne nice to see porsche do a wide body boxster. that car needs a few more curves to it.

 

bank for the buck, you can't beat it. the new vette is very nice. wish they would class the interior up a bit more, but still a great car.

 

I ran my buddies C5 with MANY mods done to it and it felt pretty darn good even @ 140+..Of course I have not driven a sports car in a year.
