FYI, here are the specs on what I just purchased.
Sport Seats, Heated Seats, Sport Steering Wheel in Leather, Full Leather, Bose, Bi-Xenon, Gaurds Red Gauges & Seat Belts, Sport Exhaust Tips, 19" Carrera S wheels, 5mm Wheel Spacers, Painted Center Console in Ext. Color, PASM, Footrest in Aluminum.
Slightly over 4000 miles, Porsche Certified 6yr 100k. $58k out the door. $73k MSRP.
I think the car you specified should be less expensive.
My $0.02.

hmmmmm now im really thinking my dealer is screwing me....well i will ask for about the same....$58k out the door sounds fair to me. I was just wondering how you got 6yrs 100k warranty? I dont even want the 19" wheels....maybe they can lower it more if i ask for the stock 18"?!
Apparently a used Porsche vehicle has to exceed "x" number of miles before they are able to give it the Porsche Certified warranty. All I know is, this car has over 4000 miles, and they were able to do it. I do not know the exact mileage in which this can be done.
That made the deal even more attractive to me, knowing that I'm fully covered for 100,000 miles or 6 years against anything that goes wrong.
Big piece of advice for you is to always negotiate with a car dealer as if you're very willing to just walk away from the deal and keep searching. I have been looking for months, and had that attitude the entire time. It really helps your ability to negotiate if the car you're looking at doesn't sell quickly. And never finance at the dealership... always arrange that elsewhere!
Good luck!

most people in my neigborhood are paying invoice on new ones, not MSRP. I'd be expecting a discount from there for the mileage used. the price you listed is about $1k under invoice...even given the added warranty period, not knowing how its been treated I would expect a bit more off that that.

In virtually all situations, you will find a better rate at a bank or credit union than you will through the dealership. This, though, is limited to "specialty" type dealerships that don't generally offer added incentives such as 0% APR, etc. Credit unions seem to be the most logical option and then you will have the ability to utilize them for much more than just a car loan.
Good luck with it!

brad,
you are right, i think we got too excited looking at ur numbers and tried the bell curve to come up with that price. a dealer probably wouldn't do that as there are so many people willing to pay what they are looking for.
seriously, u got one heck of a deal there.
