2 dealers are offering me $3,800 off MSRP. Is that usual or can I expect more? I'm in the SF Bay Area.

Tough call. Boxsters have been in really short supply for 07, so it's going to depend on how many cars your dealer has. Also a big factor is how much $$ in options the car has. If you are looking at a car with less equipment the the % to $$ ratio drops. basic math: Higher MSRP = More $$ off

If they have a car you want or an allocation w.o waiting long, that is a reasonable discount. As Dustin notes, Boxster allocations are very very tight. It's not like it was just a few years ago in terms of supply.

 

btw, can someone fix the spelling of "boxter" right under "members list"? or is there some inside reason why it's been spelled like that for forever?

 

current offer is 4k of MSRP; and this for a car to be build in Jan and according to my spec.
