It looks great but I'm wondering if the dash is covered with leather?

Post Pics of your Cayman Full Leather Interior!

Anyopne have some good pictures of the full leather interior in their Cayman? I really want to get a better look at that and the Porsche.com website photos really don't explain a whole lot.

Thanks!

the dash is leather...i would never not get full leather after having it in this and not in our GT3...however, I can see where it would not be necessary in the GT3, but it sure looks and feels rich.

I hate leather. I wish I had all cloth or suede

Sorry I posted it on another forum. This one isn't that great cause the contrast is to high, the gauges are shaded by the binnacle and actually blend reasonably well and the interior is a bit darker in natural light. I am getting the rest of the pics uploaded and see if I can't find a better representation but at least you get an idea. My favorite piece is the strip at the edge of the dash, can't see it well but its pretty cool.

Would love to see more detailed pictures. Also - I'm wondering why the caymans dont have stitching running horizontally the way full leather 911s do?

One thing to note, if you get a light color like I did, the standard steering column is black so you may want to add the leather column option. (Mine has that but the post above does not so you can see the difference)

The leather package includes the doors, upper and lower dash and the center armrest. There is stitching along the center column, door tops, instrument bulge and arm rests but not along the top edge of the dashboard like there is in the 997.

I also have a Boxster with the standard interior and I can tell you it makes a huge difference. The leather option is probably the only Porsche factory option I would consider a good deal.

So I have been lurking on the 6speed site for a while now and saw your post on the full leather interior in your Cayman. I just ordered an 08 Cayman S with full leather and sport seats as were in your pics but sand beige (I haven't seen it in person yet)... but I have a questions and I'm hoping you can help. Does the leather stretch across the dash, or is it just over the instrument cluster and down the sides of the Radio/HVAC? I've seen it on 911s where it does cover the dash but has stitches down the dash that makes it easy to identify. I asked the salesperson to tell me, but he was such a noob he couldn't tell. Any info you can give would be appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. - I re-read all of the posts and it sounds like the whole dash is leather.... but if anyone is willing to reconfirm, that would be cool.

I don't have the Cayman anymore (I switched to a 911S last year) so I can't post pics but the full dash is leather on the full leather cars (Both the top surface as well as the lower dash)

Thanks. That's exciting. Perhaps I'll post a pic here when I take delivery on the car.
