option quest--chrono

the "sport chrono" option package includes the adjustable dampers and the exhaust opening button thingy right?

and on a related note, can the adjustable dampers be replaced, while maintaining the adjustability from the cockpit?

TIA

No, sport chrono (standalone option) has a secondary ECU map that allows for slightly quicker throttle response and as part of the package allows you to personalize some features like the door locks and includes the super groovy stopwatch on the dash.

If your car is equipped with PASM and or Sport exhaust both of which are separate stand alone options, the sport button for the Chrono will simultaneously select the sport mode of PASM and engage the sport exhaust.

Also PASM goes into an even SPORTIER mode than PASM without sport chrono. It goes soft - sport- hard sport.

I didn't know that and I also remembered it loosens up PSM a little as well.

IF you want all the adjustability you want both

If you get both options you would have the following:
Normal suspension(all buttons off)
Sport suspension(Pasm button pressed)
Even sportier suspension(Pasm button and sport button pressed)

If you aren't going to upgrade your suspension to fully adjustable coilovers I would get PASM. I hear a lot of good things about the Porsche setup and I have had it on another car and thought it was great.

Chrono allows you have self locking doors, adjust to unlock one or both doors, set up the interior lighting to stay on for 30 sec after you get out of the car... and the secondary ECU map that allows for slightly improved throttle reponse and higher limits on PSM. If you drive hard get it. I would have ordered it just to get the auto door locks.

I have both and think they're great. Unless you plan on aftermarket coilovers then definitely get the PASM.
