DomR is infamous around these parts
New Member DomR 996tt

Hey guys I am new to the forum, I am actually posting on behalf of my father as well with the hopes that he will eventually post on the forum also. He has a stock 996tt and a Range Rover Supercharged. We would be very grateful for any insight or suggestions on mods or care for the Porsche. So far the Porsche experience has been amazing and we both enjoy the car. Future mods planned are rims and possibly an exhaust. Are any members aware of any tuners or performance shops in the GTA and which would you recommend?

Thanks in advance and I am glad to be a new member

Dom

hi dom, welcome to the 6speed.
your car is very fast out of the box and doesn't really need mods, but there are lots things you can start with: suspension lowering, diverter valves (prevents boost loss when the diaphragms on the stock ones start to wear out), exhaust (to make the car sound aggressive and make some more jam as well) and any number of styling options you care to add on based on personal taste.

i don't know of any shops in milton/sauga as all the ones i frequent are in vaughn just off the highway (400/7 area)

In no particular order as all are very capable:
- EU Autowerks (where i go for the most part).
- Bestline Autotech (formerly BRG88, they handle some of my stuff as well)
- Pfaff Tuning (excusive distributors for some really awsome parts including champion wheels, EVOMS, IPD/Cargraphic and werks1)

rennlist.com has a VERY active canadian membership base (many of whome are on both forums). there are also two main Porsche Meets forming....the big one in toronto is at sherway gardens on saturdays at around 10ish (more like 11 since people are usually sleeping in ) and the other is way out east for the east enders in durham...so quite a bit far for you.

Welcome.

For a very serious set of 996 TT upgrades consider BigBadBen's GT700...

(Find him with a 6speed search for BigBadBen.)

Evolution Motorsports package (www.evoms.com)

A monster of a car -- loved driving it and driving with Ben.

Anyway, welcome.
