Update for the 1M project: We installed the KW DDC profile switch button in the center console to make it much more easier to access and to showcase it a little. The button lets you access three pre-set profiles (which you can change), Normal, Sport and Sport+, which are Blue, Purple and Red respectively. The difference in ride comfort between the Normal and Sport+ settings were almost night and day, from one extreme to the other.

I think once we get a chance to tinker with the App that works with the DDC kit, we'll be able to do some pretty interesting stuff.

We'll be showcasing this 1M at SEMA this year, so be sure to come find us and check it out.

 

An update on what's happening in the shop recently:

One of our clients started us working on his E60 M5 for a complete upgrade project a week ago. We started off with a supercharger kit from ESS Tuning to add roughly 200bhp (pre-install pictures here) and now we've got new headers from Evolve Automotive, featuring a Formula One style Merge Collector and boasting an approximate 40bhp increase from the stock system. Still on the list is a brand new Brembo kit (being manufactured in Italy as this post is written), a KW V3 coilover kit w/ EDC and even more to come as the client comes up with more upgrade plans.

Pretty awesome project to undertake. Should turn out to be one of the fastest cars we've had in the shop.

Another update for our 1M Project: We've got front corner spoilers from Alpha N Performance in Germany. Alpha N has developed their own tuning package for the 1M, dubbed the "1M RS", bringing the car up to 404 bhp from the 335 bhp from factory specs via ECU reflash and custom exhaust kit. The front corner spoilers are a part of their repertoire of carbon aero parts for the 1M, all adding sophisticated style and aerodynamic prowess to the car.
