New member with 04 CTT - Guys with 22 inch wheels on their rig question?

1st post of many to come here, I have searched and read the various threads on 22 inch wheels and have a couple of questions.

1) Those with 22's any regrets and would you go back to 19's for the ride quality?

2) I have air suspension on my CTT, with 22's would I have to go to the lowest air susp. setting to get a good look on my rig?

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've been doing a lot of research on wheel upgrades lately and from what I've gathered, the general overall feeling seems to be that 22's are too rough for most people's liking.

Not too rough for me or my wife who is the primary driver. For the best look I would suggest a lowering module. I have one from FVD and have been very pleased with it - the console switch works as normal. Here is a pic of mine at the low setting but one above loading.

If you don't like a stiff ride, don't go to 22's. Although itis not *that* stiff, there is quite a difference from 19's or 20's. I like the way it rides and handles much better with the 22's, it just depends on how you like your ride.

For GRIZA - searching through old posts I found your truck with the 22 techno's, do you have lowering links or are you just on the low setting with the air susp. ? If air susp. do you have any pics with the air susp. in middle setting with the 22's? Thanks in advance for your time.

I have lowering links.......................on my desk collecting dust. I have not decided if I am going to use them. The pics are on the Low setting and then I took some on the Load setting which you cannot drive on. I am not sure I like the Cayenne so low. It almost makes it look like a Volkswagen Golf or something, I don't know. I got mine to be an SUV not a low rider. I do not have any pics in the middle setting since my truck is never there, I could take some though. Let me know if you would like me to do that.

For GRIZA you are right on the money

For GRIZA - You are right on the money! I want to see pics with 22's in the middle air susp. setting because I want mine to look like an SUV and I plan to leave it in the middle setting with 22's. If you could take a couple of side shots in the middle setting, it would help solve my dilemma of the wheel gap thing immensely. I appreciate all of the feedback! Thanks

I have the sport techno 22's on mine. Ride quality is quite good, but I think tire choice makes a big difference. I'm running parada X Yokohama, lowered setting suspension on comfort and no one has ever complained about the ride, and our roads are pretty poor in the Chicago burbs...even on sport the ride is deffinetly acceptable and not harsh.

emissary will become famous soon enough
I just switched from my 22-inch Kahn reps (with Toyo tires) to my 18-inch winter setup. Honest to God, I can't discern any difference in ride quality...I remember feeling the same way last year (when I made the switch) as well.

Thanks for the help and responses guys. Where did you pick up your 22 inch sport techno wheels at? So far I can only find them at one store online.
